Modernising awards

The new awards will have no immediate practical impact and will only become relevant when new certified agreements need to be negotiated for employees covered by the awards.
On 17 March 2015 the Treasurer, Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, suspended the Award Modernisation Process to enable the Queensland Government to consult with key stakeholders.
