Guidelines provide information and guidance to Queensland Government departments on a range of workforce and employment related matters.

Under section 53 of the Public Service Act 2008, the Public Service Commission Chief Executive can issue rulings (including guidelines) about matters that relate to non-executive employees also:

  • matters relating to the Public Service Commission's or the Public Service Commission Chief Executive’s functions, and
  • the overall employment conditions for Chief executives, senior executives and public service officers on contract whose remuneration is equal to, or higher than, the remuneration payable to a senior executive.
