Practical People Management Program
The Practical People Management (PPM) Program aims to provide managers and supervisors in the Queensland
Public Service with practical skills to manage people effectively.
The PPM Program is designed to:
- develop people management skills, strategies and practices and build
confidence in applying these in the workplace
- improve managers’ and supervisors’ capabilities in the context
of legislative requirements, current and future trends and managing change
- improve workplace culture, and
- increase staff satisfaction.
The program is action–learning based, and recognises participants’ existing
knowledge. It is suitable for all Queensland Government managers and
supervisors.
The PPM Program can be delivered:
- through a panel
of providers arrangement:
- via cross-agency generic programs for individuals from multiple agencies
- in-house in your agency
- via public programs, or
- through agency delivery using your own human resources or organisational
development staff, working with effective people managers in your agency.
